The weather was fine, the attendance and the entries large, making a very successful occasion. In all some £260 was distributed in prizemoney. ■ The £100 chop, 15in. standing, was won by G. Parkes and M. J. Marriner, dead-heat, with C. W. Dvvyer third. The Auckland provincial championship standing chop, 18in. blocks, for £20 and a gold medal, was won by W. Green, of Kawhia.
