BOROUGH COUNCIL MEETING.

The Hamilton Borough Council met last evening, the Mayor, Mr. J.' R. Fowl presiding. ' The report of " the building inspector showed that building permits totalling £22,020 were issued during last month. This was an increase of nearly 100 per cent, on the figures for the corresponding period of last year. \."V^.';';< ::; ■",--'
It was decided to make application for the placing of the borough on the lower tariff for lire insurance purposes. '
