The forty-ninth week of the Auckland Poultry-keepers' Association's fifth singlepen and team egg-laying competition ended on Monday. The leading individuals in each section, are s*-Heavy breeds: Mr. W. A, Nixon's Black Orpington, No. 2, 317 eggs. Light breeds: Messrs. J. N. McLean's No. 1 White Leghorn, 284 eggs. Duck section : Mr. H. Biumhardt'a Indian Runner, No. 2, 307 eggs.
