SAFE FROM DESTRUCTION. TELEGRAPH DEPARTMENT'S MOVE. ,- A suggestion that the avenue of in Princes Street might have to be re-
moved,, because they constituted an obstruction ,to the overhead telegraph system, was viewed ; with.some consternation
by the City Council recently, :it being maintained that the destruction of the : U-ees would irreparably destroy the handsome appearance of the thoroughfare.
