WEST COAST EXPLORATION. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION. . : HOSITIKA," "Wednesday. A party consisting of Drs. Techlemann and Buchanan and Messrs. . Kennedy and Ford returned yesterday from six weeks' exploration kof • the Valley of the Perth River, a branch of ; the Wataroa River. During most of ' the period unfavourable weather interfered with progress. The party reached Sealey Pass, and cross®! to Godley Glacier, but mist • and fog prevented a good view being obtained. They also reached the head of the Perth Valley, where it is connected with the basins of the Rangitata and Adams Rivers. Unfavourable, weather prevented any hipfa ascents being undertaken. The party found the Perth Valley to be remarkable for rain and general cloudiness when the rest of Westland appeared to be enjoying sunshine.
