Duffia 9; Dick, a bye. Fifth Round.—Dick 21, v. Osmond 16; Duffin 19. v. Baildon 11; Walker, a bye. Sixth Round.— 20, v. Dick 15; Duffin, a bye. ■' , „ The feature of the play was Maxwell Walker's consistent game, which' placed him in the semi-finals. Dick (Whangarei), who met Walker twice, played well, but lacked consistency. At the conclusion of the fourth round Osborne (Ellershe) and Matthews (Takapuna) were eliminated, and Duffin (Carl* ton) lost one life. In the fifth round Osmond' (Auckland) and Baildon (Mount Albert) were eliminated. This left Maxwell Walker (Ponsonby) with two lives. Duffin (Carlton) and Dick (Whangarei), with one life each. On the sixth round Dick waa beaten by Walker and eliminated, Duffin drawing the bye.
AUCKLAND CENTRE TOURNEY THE EASTER PROGRAMME. The Easter tournament, under the auspioes of the Auckland _ Centre of - the Do* minion Bowling Association will be the final fixture of the season, and ft is anticipated that it will attract largo entries. NEW CLUB. FOR TAKAPUNA A movement is afoot at Takapuna for the formation of ft new bowling club, to be called the Pupuke. An application was received by the Takapuna Borough Council last evening for the use of a playing area m the recreation reserve recently purchased in Taharoto Road, at the western side of the lake, and was referred to the parks committee for consideration.
