GOOD WOOL PRICES.
WANGANUI'S final sale. BEST GRADES ADVANCE 2D. ALL-ROUND . IMPROVEMENT. [BY TELEGRAPH. PRESS ASSOCIATION.] w'aNGANUI,- Wednesday. The fourth and final Wanganui wool sale of the season was held this evening, • when 7077 bales were offered. There was a good attendance of buyers. The bulk of the offering was largely backcountry wool, and oddments of clips shut out from previous sales. The bidding was well spirited, and the sale was the best of the season's series.
Prices were in sympathy with the rise reported in Wellington and Napier, and they showed an all-round advance of from a halfpenny to a penny on the last sale prices, particularly in low grade wools. The demand for lambs' wool and Southdown was easier, but any wools of quality ■were in great demand, and there was an advance- equal to twopence "in these grades, as compared with the last sale.
Many- lines of .fine crossbreds realised prices in the vicinity of 26d.
