CONTROL OF AN ESTATE.
PUBLIC TRUSTEE TO ACT.
An application arising out of the administration of the estate of Alfred John Carter, who died in 1918, was heard by Mr. Justice Herdman in the Supreme Court .yesterday. The plaintiff, Augustus Neville Norton , (Mr. Jsrcka), sougUt an order Hinder .the Public Trust; Office Act relieving him from his position "as a co-truiitee of certain funds belonging to the estate and also for the appointment of the Public Trustee as sole trustee of .these funds and administrator of the estate in the place of the widow, Agues Fanny Carter (Mr. Hall Skcl'ton), who was named as defendant. It appeared that, following certain disputes of a personal nature between 'the trustees,- a deadlock arose in the administration of the estate*. • ■ Dr. Fitchett, who appeared lor the Public Trustee, intimated that the Public Trustee was not anxious to assume control of the estate, but would occsent to do so on certain conditions. After argument His Honor granted the application and reserved ' lea.ve for the parties concerned to apply to the Court on certain other matters raised, if agreement could not be reached on them. >
