FARMERS IN BRITAIN.
GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE. LONDON, Feb. 28. The Minister for Agriculture, Mr. Noel Buxton, forecasted in the House of Commons the Government's schemes to assist farmers. It will 00-operate : with, them to obtain up-to-date , marketing, and eliminate middlemen. It intends to grant advances ■to farmera* societies to enable them to find the maximum capital necessary. The -maximum, grant to any society will be ,£IO,OOO, repayable within 20 years.
