PROBLEM OF CONSTRUCTION. — j ONE' TREE HILL ACTION. The question of improving in permanent manner that portion of the Great South Road between the Harp of ..Erin 1 and St. Anne's bridge, near Otahuhu, was discussed by the One Tree Hill Road "Board last evening. / ('< The chairman, Mr. R. G. Clark, stated that he was riot present when the local bodies o'f districts abutting on the road had conferred and. formed the Great j South Road Association, and be therefore moved , that the • engineer be asked j to report on the .best means of putting the road in a satisfactory condition. The motion - was carried. . The portion of the Great Sputfa . Road referred to lies under the jurisdiction of the One Tree Hill Road Board, the Ellerslie Town Board and the Mount Wellington .Road Board. ■(■ --. .. =. ■" I
