THE AUCKLAND CLUB. BOGEY COMPETITION". A bogey competition for a trophy presented by Mr. R. F. Johnston, was played on Saturday, at Middlemore, 32 ■ players taking part. The new 'card of tho club, with tho reduction of bogey to 77. W.i« used for the first time The competition resulted in a win for; 8. C. Hodges, who finished all square with bogey. His card showed a stroke total of 85. The following were the best cards handed in:—B. '.'. Hodges (9), all square; A. H. Nicholl (8). one down; H. L. Rees (7), 3 down: G. F. Foot* (6). 4 down:. A. E. M. Rhind (8). 4 down; F. G. Binnty (4), 5 down. . Of • the four competitions played during the summer months. B. G. Rainier won the first two, and S. C. Hodges the last two. PUKEKOHE CLUB. The annual meeting of tho above club was held on Wednesday evening. The following officers were elected President, Mr. Jas. Roulston- vice-presidents, Dr. McSweenev. Mr. J. W. Johns; captain, Mr. W C Brosrahan: secretary and treasurer. Mr. Munro: auditor. Mr. Alan P. Day; committer. Dr. B"Cg. .Messrs. E. Clarke, H. Dinsdale. F. Duncan. D. Flsnnery, G. Fitness Several new members were elected and prospects are bright for .the coming season.
