SETBACKS TO SOCIALISTS. A. and N.Z BEE LIN. Feb. 11 The election of the new Tharingian i Diet resulted in a crushing defeat of the S Socialists, who had hitherto a strong majority in the Diet, but who are now replaced by the Bourgeois Bloc. Between 80 arid 90 per cent, of . the electorate voted. The result is symptomatic of a general swing to the Right which is occurring in Germany, and which will, no doubt, be repeated at the general elections for the Reichstag. Tho election of the Diet in the Free State of Lubeck also converted a Socialist majority into a minority - against the Bourgeois parties. 8 — bavarian SEPARATISTS. POSTPONEMENT OF TRIAL.
