LAWN TENNIS.
TITIRANGI CLUB. The Titirangi Lawn Tennis Club held a handicap singles tournament for the Hagley Cup on Saturday. Through _ the generosity of Messrs. Patterson, Glanville, and Swanson, of the Southern associations, this cup was presented for annual competition at Titirangi. The results are as follows:— First Round.—Griffiths beat Hardy, —6, 6—4, -6;. Martelli beat G. Francis, 6—4, —3; Garupfir. by default; Torrens beat Moir, 6—5, 3—6, 6—3; Clark beat J. Francis, —5, —5; Jackson beat Calder, 6—3, 4— 6— Ohlson beat McGregor, 6—4, —3; Robson. a bye. Second Round.— beat Marftelll, —2, —0; Gardner beat Torrens, 5—6, 63, 6—l; Jackson beat Clark, 6—5, 6—4; Robaon bent Ohlson, 6—2,-3—6, 61. Semi-final.— beat Griffiths, 6— 6—5; Robson beat Jackson, G— 6—4. Final.—.Robson heat Gardner, 6—4, 9—7. L. Robson will thus be the holder of the cup for this season. The championship singles iournairiftnt will be held next week-end, when a trophy presented by Mr. F. Ballin will be played for.
