A GALLIPOLI PILGRIM.
AUSTRALIAN PRIME MINISTER GOOD PROGRESS REPORTED. i (Received 8.5 p.m.) Reuter. LONDON. Feb. 9. Mr. S. M. Bruce, Prime Minister of Australia, landed on Gallipoli from the warship Calypso and visited various cemeteries in the south of the peninsula, where he himself served in 1915. Although the aspect has changed, he recognised places where he participated in fighting and identified the graves of a number of old comrades. Ho found that good progress had been made by Colonel Hughes and his efficient staff. All the cemeteries, which are uniform in design, are simple, substantial and dignified.
