JAPAN TO RAISE LOAN.
IN LONDON AND NEW YORK. ISSUE TO TOTAL £40,000,000. A. and N.Z. NEW YORK, Feb. 8 Banking circles have indicated that Japan will fund its entire outstanding loan and finance reconstruction work by a single loan aggregating about 200,000.000 dollars, of which 50,000,000 dollars will be floated in London and the balance 111 New York. It is stated that the new issue will carry conversion rights under which bonds of the outstanding sterling issuo will be exchangeable. Bankers declared that the loan would probably be made early next week.
