SPORT WITH SWORDFISH.
MAYOR ISLAND WATERS. [BY TEZJEG&AFH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT?-! TAURANGA. Friday. Each succeeding season sees an increased interest in the sword-fishing sport in the waters in the neighbourhood of Mayor Island. A party is now at. the island, and has been testing the grounds. On Monday two swordfish were observed. They came at the bait but failed to take the hook. On Wednesday .afternoon Mr. Thomson, of Remuera, hooked a swordfish, which furnished exciting sport. After a valiant fight it was drawn alongside and brought aboard the launch.
