IF LABOUR GOVERNS. ITALY DRAWS COMFORT. Time*. LONDON. Doc. 17. The Rome correspondent of the Times says there is widespread comment in Italy regarding the political future of Britain. The original nervousness at the prospect of a Labour Government is disappearing, for it is not thought that such a Government would.be able, to pass measures likely to disturb commerce and credit. It is considered that Italy will be a gainer in any contingency, for the weaker the British Government is, the stronger will Italian prestige be -within the Entente. Moreover, the foreign policy of & Labour Government is certain to be strongly anti-French, and will oppose the extension of French influence in the Balkans and the Little Entente, which is. gravely perturbing Italy.
