V A poll of ratepayers of the Borough of Devonport will be held to-day upon pro- ; posals to raise six loans aggregai ing r £52,500 for improvement schemes, the individual amounts involved are: Electricity, £21,000; waterworks, £16,000; sew- "I erage works, merged area, £6000; road . ' formation, Old, Cemetery Reserve, £5500' erection of fire brigade station. £2500* refuse destructor, £1500. The polling places will be as follows:—Council chain" bers, Marine Square; Parish Hall, Vaaxhail Hoad; Mission 'Hall, Calliope, Road, Stanley Bay; King's store, Lake ; lance room, Queen's, Wharf. The polling will commence at 9 o'clock and will close at 7 "o'clock.
