. NOTES BY PICADOR. ; The Australian-bred square trotter Style has created a very favourable impression among the track-watchers at Epsom, and one, morning recently gave a very pleasing display, while working over a mile. He was sired by ' the American-bred sire All Style, sire of those good' trotters, First Fashion and Marion Style, and was recently brought over from Sydney by C. Eokkjer, a successful . New South Wales reinsman. It is stated that the recent meeting held by the Waikato Trotting Club will show a profit beyond £400, which is very satisfactory. The five-year-old •'pacing mare Bell Moor (by Wildmoor—Judge Beldon mare) died in Hamilton last ■ week... Delavan Quest has been scratched for all engagements at . the Auckland Trotting Club's Summer Meeting. Ivy Audubon has raced in hopples in her lecent encasements, but she figures among the acceptors for the Parnell Handicap, an v.nhonpled event, on the first day of the Auckland meeting. She was seen in a favourable light in a similar event -at Alexandra Park last season, when she won the Easter Handicap, and that form may be worth remembering. The Great Northern Derby : candidate, Taurekareka, has gone on the right •>■ way since coming to Auckland and promises to start a warm favourite 'for the event. '. That speedy mare, Sal Pointer, is ineluded among the acceptors for the Grea<t Northern Handicap (saddle). She is in firsti lass order, arid has shaped pleasingly when worked with the weicht up. With the near approach of the Auckland Trotting Club'* Slimmer Mooting mutters at Alexandra Park have now assumed a very lively shape, and a large number of horses are being exercised daily. The work during th* next week should be brimful of interest, while the arrival of a number of . visiting horses during the course of the next few days should, attract additional attention to the proceedings. The ex-Australian rcinsman -. J. TCennerley, is having a good run of luck this season, and scored another win -with that brilliant little pacer Pedro Pronto in the Beach Handicap on the second day of the New Brighton meeting. The Manawatu Trotting Club will hold its tenth" annual totalisator meeting on Wednesday, January 16. Nominations for all events , close •on Friday next, - at 6 p.m., . with the secretary, Mr. A. H. Manson.
