MoConnac will ride Ballypjena .in the Auckland Cud and G. Young will have the mount on Murihaupo in the Railway Handicap. The Cup candidates. Quest and Scion, ■were stripped at Ellerslio yesterday morning and did useful work on the tan. The former bears a well-trained appearance and is full of mup-Je, while Scion also fills the eye well. C. Brown will ride Quest and M. MoCartt a will, steer Scion; P. Hazelman was present with Blaok Ronald, .Hall Mark and Zouave and allotted them some pace work. The trio are all in good nick. ■
