The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, has ' reoeived a cablegram from its bead office in London advising that at the annual meeting held December 13, a final dividend was declared for the year ended June 30 last, at the rate of ,2£ per cent, (less English income tax at 2s 2£d in the £$ x on the five per cent. Cumulative Preference Stock, and a dividend a,t the rate ol 4 per cent, (free of English income tax) on the ordinary 'stock.. Notice to New Zealand stockholders regarding payment of the 'dividends will be found in our advertisement columns.

BRITISH BOOT TRADE. NEW ZEALAND ORDERS.; Th* Leather Goods Recorder states "that exports of boots from Britain during the present year have almost consistently increased each month. In January. 592,524 pairs, valuedAt £278,245 were exported: in May the figure* wore 681,7 pairs, valued £ 845,912: in August. 808,183 pairs value £446,593; and in September, 1,141,440 pairs, value £545,477—an average value of 9s 6d per pair! The retail prices are unchanged, but the market is quiet, and lower . prices are anticipated after the holidays,. The cheese market is, also quiet, with white selling at 108s, and. coloured at 110s. The retail price of cheese is unchanged, but Mr. Wright anticipates lower . prices next month ox even earlier.

LONDON WOOL MARKET. The Produce Department of the Bank of New Zealand' has received .the following advioe from its London office, under date December 18:-- . ... .
