BOAT PARTY DELAYED.
ANXIETY AT NON-ARRIVAL. FIVE YOUTHS ON CRUISE. Some anxiety was felt last night at the non-arrival at Auckland of a 16ft. boat on board of which were five youths, residents of Ponsonby, who went away on Saturday on a week-end cruise. The party intended to return on Sunday afternoon but a telephone message was received on that afternoon from Motuihi to the effect that it would be late in the evening when they got back owing to the rough weather? At an early hour, this morning they had not returned nor had any further word been received as to their whereabouts. Inquiries by the police at Waiheke jailed to discover any trace of the boat, or its crew. It was considered probable that the boat may be sheltering in some bay ' until the wind abates, The - ages of the party are stated to range from' 15 to 20 years. , . .
