He is a useful trotter, who , may get tome more money very soon., •• , Willie Logan paced a sound-race when he won the Mace Memorial Handicap, but he was tiring, at the. finish He just- lasted lone - enough to beat Vilo and Whispering Willie, the iastnamed finishing very last., Our Lady showed good form in winning the Sea view Handicap, and she had a useful field of trotters -behind her. Sho„is erratio but in this case she went solidly all the way. The American rotter Brigand started twice at New Brighton to-day. /He. broke up badly each ; time, but showed such; brilliant speed' in patches, that tihere is little chance <t him being beaten the first time he goes without * mistake. | • ■''■J !
