SHOW AT WHANGAREI.
FLOWERS AND VEGETABLES.
lax XKLKOaAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT ■ WHANGAREI, Saturday.
There was an exhibition to-day in the Winter Hall of flowers and garden produce, and there was a good attendance of the public. Mr. G. A. Green, of Auckland, who acted as judge, expressed the opinion that considering the lateness and dryness of the season, , the show was a very good one. Its effectiveness would, however, have been enhanced by the provision of proper vases. There were particularly good specimens of pot plants, but it was advisable in future, said the judge, to divide the classes for professionals and amateurs. Special reference was made to excellence of • the exhibits in th'e school children's class. There was a general need for the correct naming of all exhibits. In / the -garden produce section the potatoes and cabbages were specially good.
