INQUIRY AT SINGAPORE. A. tod N.Z. SINGAPORE, Nov. 29 The Governor lias appointed a commission of inquiry into the opium trade. The terms of inquiry includo a. monopoly of the retail sale, maximum sale pro rata to the inhabitants, and licensing and registration of smokers.
