The terms of an Act of the Persian Parliament have been published whereby a monopolistic concession to exploit on resources will be granted to an American company, probably the Standard Oil Company, in the four northern provinces of Persia, conditional on the arrangement of a loan to the Persian Government of 10,000,000 dollar* from AmeScan banks. ; The Persian Legation states that the Anglo-Persian Oil Company advanced a priority claim Over these ' areas, ■ but Persia is unwilling that tho Anglo-Persian Company should secure complete control of Persian oil sources. The concession to the United States further provides tsat the American Company will start working within eight years, and tho Persian Government will share its profits.
