EX-TEACHER'S SUICIDE. BODY UNDER GRAFTON BRIDGE. The body of the man found in the Grafton gully on Sunday afternoon has been identified as that of Frederick Robert Roller, aged about 40, who was recently employed as a school, teacher at Kaukapakapa. When the body was discovered there were three knife wounds in the neck and several other gashes on the limbs. A pocket-knife was found underneath the body. The police ascertained yesterday that deceased had recently been considerably distressed over his affairs, and had suffered from ill-health. He had arrived in Auckland on Friday morning, and had written a letter of farewell to his relatives. He leaves a widow and a grown-up daughter. An inquest wag held yesterday before Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M. Evidence of identification was given by deceased's wife, who stated that deceased had Tecently been very much worried about his throat, and had come to Auckland to consult a doctor. ( Evidence was given by Dr. C. H. Tewsley that death was caused by loss of blood, chieflv from the wounds in the throat.
