MUNICIPAL CHOIR. The concert by the Municipal Choir in the Town Hall concert chamber on . Satuiday evening proved a great success, there being an excelkst programme of instrumental and vocal items, which were well received by the large audience. "The Bells of St. Michaels' /Lower " and Schumann's " Summer Song," which were sung by the choir, were both encored. Mr. W. ■GemmeH's vocal items were excellent, while Mr. Maughan Barnett's playing of the organ was up to its usual high standard. Mr. Leo Whittaker acted as accompanist, the choir organist being Mr. Edgar Randal. The Municipal Choir will hold a carol concert on Saturday, December 8.;

OPERA HOUSE. The change of programme to be submitted at the Opera House to-day includes a number of varied vaudeville turns and a new revue. Keith Desmond will make his first appearance before the Auckland public with a repertoire of popular songs,, and Billy Elliott, the popular comedian, will commence the, last week of his season. Other artists who will be seen in new offerings will be Brennan and Newton and the Sinclair Brothers.
