The election of moderate? of the Presbyterian General Assembly for 1924-25 resulted in the choice falling on the Rev. G. Miller, of Ashburton. The first ballot resulted, Rev. J. Kilpatrick, Green Island, Otago, 51; Rev. G. Miller, Ashburton, 74; Mr. W. H. Rose, Christchurch, 94. The second and final ballot resulted: Mr. Miller, 103; Mr. Rose, 94. An invitation to hold the next meeting of the assembly at Palmerston North was accepted. A commission was appointed to deal with the dispute between the* Rev. R. Wood and the Wellington Presbytery. The assembly will resume its sittings to-morrow.
