RAINBOW TROUT SEASON.

EXTENSION IN HAWKE'S BAY.

[BE TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT J WELLINGTON, Friday.

A new season for trout and perch in the Hawke's Bay Acclimatisation Society's territory is announced by Order-in-Council. The siciety has represented to the Government that better rainbow trout may be secured late in the season, and has asked that the season be extended for a month as an experiment for one year. The Government has acceded to the request and has extended the season until the end of May for the present- fishing_ year.
