K.M.S. MAKT7RA. IN" PORT. The Royal Mail steamer Mokura arrived from Vancouver at 6 a.m. yesterday and wan berthed at, the Central Wharf alter medical inspection. The vessel cleared Vancouver on November. 3 and experienced strong westerly winds with rough seas and heavy rain for the. first three days. The remainder of the voyage was fine and uneventful. • The passenger list totalled 317, ■of whom 159 were for Auckland. Besides » large quantity of mail,for New Zealand, the Makura brought 1216 tons of cargo for this port. Included in the latter are 13,666 | cases of. apples, confectionery, salmon, paper, shoes, plaster, telephones, shingles, v.doors and general merchandise. THE CANADIAN SPINNER. The Canadian Government steamer Canadian Spinner sailed from Adelaide for Auckland, via Southern ports, to complete loading for New York, Boston and Halifax.
