THE DUNEDIN EXHIBITION

ASSURANCE OF SUPPORT.

BUSINESS MEN'S ATTITUDE

The promoters of the New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition, to be held at Dunedin in 1925, received very encouraging assurances of support at the Chamber of Commerce conference yesterday.

Mr. Peter Barr, of Dunedin, said the directors of the exhibition were desirous of getting the support of all the business people of the Dominion just as the Dunedin people had supported, such » projects held in other parts of the Dominion. He had been impressed with the splendid tone of the remarks made by Mr. Gunson at the opening of the conference, especially his statement that we could not afford to forget that we were one Dominion and should not entertain, sentiments of a parochial nature. He moved that the conference express the hope that the venture would be carri"-d to a successful issue in the interests of the Dominion generally, and strongly recommend the members of Chambers of Commerce and other business organisations to lend their support in every way possible. , The motion was carried unanimously.
