TV/TOUNT EDEN BOROUGH COUNCILSPECIAL ORDER MAKING BY-LAWS. i Public notice is hereby given that* a{ a j Special Meeting of the Mount Eden Borour.'h Council, held on the 12th day of November, 1923, it was resolved by way of Special Order that the Mount Eden Borough Council make .the following By-laws under the "Municipal Corporations Act. 1920," and all other powers thereunto enabling it: — 1. This By-law shall be read with and a« extending and amending By-law No. 1, of the Borough of Mount Eden; made on the first day , of July, 1907, and the words used herein shall have the same meaning and be interpreted in the same way as the same words when need in the said By-law No. I. 2. No person other than a duly qualified medical practitioner engaged at the time in attending to a patient, shall leave any vehicle unattended in Mount Eden Road or Dominion Road for ~ more than fifteen minutes. Provided that this By-law shall not apply to vehicles plying for hire when Op any stand appointed by _ the Council for vehicles plying for hire. 8. The owner or any person in charge of any vehicle which may for the time being be standing on any street or public olace. whether attended or unattended, and whether in accordance with the provisions of the last preceding section or not,, shall, upon the request of the Council's Traffic Insp**tor or any deputy authorised by him or of any Police Constable, move such vehicle as directed by any such Inspector. Deputy or Police Constable, for the purpose of facilitating tra'fHc in any such street or preventing any hindrance or obstruction thereto. 4. Section 43 of By-law No. 1 ie hereby amended by adding . the following; words thereto:—"Providing, however, that it shall not be necessary to have any lights on a motor-car while such motor-car is standing under the glare of a street lamp." . ■ The above Resolution will bo submittod for Confirmation to a Meeting of the Mount Eden Borough Council, to be held at the Council Chambers, Valley Road. A Meeting of Residents of the Borough will be held on FRIDAY. November 23. at 3 p.m., at the Mount Eden Bowling Club, to arrange for an effort to be made throughout the Borough to raise funds for the War Memorial. The President of the Club has kindly granted the use of the grounds, and will welcome Ladies, for whom afternoon tsa will be provided. The Chairman of the War Memorial Committee, Mr. J. H.
