PROFITABLE SEASON'S WORK.

TAURANGA. Friday. The annual meeting of the Katikati Co-operative Dairy Company, held at Katikati, was largely attended. The annual report, which was adopted, showed that the season's profit totalled £1978, which was ' disposed of as follows:— Depreciation, £340; over appropiation for last season's bonus, £294. The balance of £1343 was recommended for disposal as follows: Six per cent, dividend on capital subscribed to June 30, 1922; further payment of 4d on butter- supplied during April, May and June; bonus of per lb. over the season; balance* carried forward, £18 16s Id. The number of suppliers was 102, and the quantity of butter-fat received was 364,3251b. The quantity of butter made was 442,9511b., and the price advanced to suppliers 16.13 d. The following resolutions were passed: (1) That those suppliers not signing a joint and several guarantee to the bank do not participate in the bonus; (2) that a store be erected at the factory for the storage of case oils for sale to suppliers; (3) that the manager shall refuse to take cream that he considers unfit for buttermaking, and that a deduction of a halfpenny per pound be made from second grade cream. Mr. R. L. Thomas, of Tauranga, was auditor to the company. Mr. Blomqnist was thanked for the great trouble he has taken in the matter of the Cow Testing Association. i'i : iC ''*•; I ''''■■*' ■?.-"'. The election of officers resulted in Messrs. D. D. Potts and C. E. Macmilxin, M.P., being appointed. The direcJsrs subsequently "elected Mr. E. Earl, as chairman, and Mr. F. C. Mr. Macmillan, M.P., the exsecretary, was presented by the directors and suppliers, with a travelling trunk, bearing an inscribed silver plate in recognition of his services to the company).
