LEAVE AUCKLAND TO-MORROW

PROCEEDING FIRST TO HOBART.

The three Norwegian-manned whalers, Star I.', 11., and 111., which recently put into Auckland at the conclusion of a 40days* voyage from Seattle, United States,' are, expected to sail to-morrow for Hobart preparatory to undertaking an extensive whaling expedition in the Ross ilea, Antarctica.

The three little vessels have been in Auckland a week, and have been berthed at the Prince's Wharf undergoing minor repairs.- To-day they will take in bunkers in the stream, and will saii to-morrow for Hobart. They will be joined in Tasmania by two other steam whalers and a parent steamer of 14,000 tons. , The fleet will complete its equipment at Hobart before leaving for the whaling ground.
