THE NORTHERN ASSOCIATION SMITH TO MEET VOLTAIRE. The Northern Boxing Association has arranged a contest between Stewart Smith and Eugene Voltaire, to take place at the Town Hall on November 28. The bout is scheduled for 15 rounds, and is for % a purse of £150. The last appearance of.-. Smith in Auckland was on the occasion, of his defeat of J. Keenan. some months ago. Ihe French boxer, Voltaire, who has also been aeon in Auckland, defeated Clarrie Blackburn at Wellington a fortnight ago. The Auckland match has been arranged in place of that between Smith and T. Fairhall, of Australia, who has been compelled to return to Sydney, owing to an injury.
