WIRELESS IMPASSE.

PREMIERS URGED TO ACT. MR. BRUCE TO FORCE ISSUE. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. S.S p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 6. The Daily Telegraph in a strong editorial article entitled " The Wireless Chain Muddle," declares: "If the Imperial Conference disperses without unequivocal assurances it will commit a grave act of omission. The Dominion Prime Ministers are obviously entitled to express their views on the impasse between the Post Office and the Marconi Company since it is hindering all their efforts to link the Empire. If they were to speak frankly fhey would tell us that they have no faith in Post Office administration; it is not conducted on commercial lines and the recommendations of Lord Robert Cecil's committee have been ignored. The Imperial Conference ought to inquire . searchingly into the cause of the present impasse." - Mr. S. M. Bruce, Prime Minister of Australia, interviewed on the subject of wireless, said it t it was his express intention to force matters to a definite conclusion one way or the other. He apparently has little hope that the differences between the British Post Office and the Marconi Company can be bridged. Nevertheless, he is insistent that the imperative needs in regard to Empire wireless communication should not be sacrificed to a quarrel of the existing nature. Mr. W. F. Massey also intends to bring the subject up before the conference closes.
