U.S.A. IMMIGRATION.
HINT OF NEW POLICY. NORDIC PEOPLE WANTED. Australian and NZ. Cable Association. (Reed. 6.50 p.m.) NEW YORK, Nov. 6. The New York World interprets the admission on parole of L 307 British immigrants beyond Iho quota for British nationals as proof that tho United States immigration policy is being changed to curb the rush of immigrants from Southern and Eastern Europe and to encourage Northern and Western Europeans. It believes that a new quota is imminent, based on the census of 1890, with the object of admitting more British and Teu. tonic settlers "who slip readily into place among us."
