VIOLENT SHOCKS RECORDED.

6250 MILES FROM ITALY. , Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 8.5 p.m.) ROME, Nov. 6. Tha observatory at Faenza registered a violent earthquake at an estimated distance of about 6250 miles. The direction was from north-east to south-west. The seismographs moved for nearly three hours.
