HOTEL FIRE SUPPRESSED
OUTBREAK IN WELLINGTON. [Bt TELEGRAPH.—PEESS association.] ; WELLINGTON. Wednesday- .'■ A fire, which broke out to-day, in the Trocadero Hotel, on Lambton Quay, was promptly suppressed, by the fire brigade. A ptorter discovered the top of the air* shaft, leading from the' kitchen to tne roof, to.be alight. The fire spread to the roof, but the brigade, which armed promptly, extinguished the flames. ■,■■•■*« number of windows were broken by *»•. heat, woodwork was scorched, while tM stair carpets were badly drenched. \1»». building is insured in the Atlas Office lor £14,000.
