YACHTING.
TAURANGA REGATTA CLUB. The Tauranga Eegatta Club's Programme Committee on Tuesday evening adopted a programme of 45 events for the annual regatta carnival, to be held on December 27. subject to the confirmation of the General Committee. The total prize money amounts to over £'220. Twenty pounds in cash has been added to the Gold Challenge Cup race, and £;0 for a race for the yachts after arrival, £"20 for the 14ft. one-design open race. £15 for the seven-knots and over handicap launch race. A handsome £7 7s gold medal, first, and £2 2a. silver, second, has been allotted for the Tauranga swimming cham pionship. The sum of £80 ip allotted to the nine rowing events£lo each for light and open-weight junior fours, light and openweight maiden fours, and £8 each to the maiden double sculls, maiden fours, welter weights, maiden pair oars open weights, youths' fours, and single sculls.
