MISSION OF HEALING.
TWO CURES REPORTED. CHILD'S EYE STRAIGHTENED MAN'S LEG BECOMES LONGER. [BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON. Wednesday. In connection with the Hickson Healing Mission, two cures, which appear to havt» been authenticated, have been reported to the church authorities. One case is that of a child with a cast in her eye. When she loft the church she said to her mother. "Now I can see properly." The mother looked at the child and was astonished to see that the previously afflicted eye was as straight as the other. The other reported euro is that of a man who is said to have come from Stratford. His affliction was a short leg, and he was compelled to wear a special boot. So groat was his belief that ho would bo cured that ho brought an ordinary boot with him. It is stated that after the service he was delighted to find that the hitherto afflicted log was the same length as the other. The leg was sore and stiff, but he walked without difficulty. Mention also has been made of an elderly lady who has not walked for several years being able to walk a short distance; also of a Petono man, who has been for several years on crutches, showing how ho could make steps without their aid.
Mr. Hickson yesterday visited the Forirua Mental Hospital, where a considerable number of afflicted people received the laying on of hands.
