BURGLARY CONVICTIONS. [BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN. Wednesday. At the Supreme Court to-day Thomas Joseph Christie, charged with breaking and entering and theft in respect to the Farmers' Co-operative premises at Dunedin and Mosgiel, was found guilty on bofh counts and remanded for sentence. Henry Urquhart and James Burmen were charged with breaking and entering with intent to commit, a crime and with being unlawfully in a dwelling-house. Both were found guilty on the second charge and were sentenced! to three years' reformative treatment?.

SENTENCES AT PAIMERSTON. FALSE PRETENCE CHARGES. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] P.VLMERSTON NORTH. Wednesday. At the Supreme Court to-day Arthur Reginald Borland, who pleaded guilty in the lower Court at Feilding to two charges of false pretences and one of forgery, and. in the Supreme Court admitted three charges of false pretences at Marion, Feilding and Otaki, and attempted false pretences at Feilding, was sentenced to 12 months' imprisonment on each charge. The sentences are to be concurrent, and are to follow a sentence now being served for breach of the terms of probation. v Richard Benjamin Knight., a slock dealer, for failure to account for £408 19s 6d in connection with the sale of sheep, was sentenced to 18 months' imprisonment. Hui Kai Thompson, for forgery and false pretences, received 12 months' imprisonment. Robert Alexander Sloan, who pleaded guilty at Levin to illegally veiling for .£169 stock under a bill of sale to the Government, was admitted to three years' probation, and ordered to make restitution of the amount in weekly payments. Charles Whittakcr was admitted to 12 months' probation for illegally selling stock under a bill of sale.
