CRICKET FITCHES.
ALLOCATION BY COUNCIL.
The matter of allocating tho cricket pitches.in the city parks for the season just opening was reported to the City Council last evening. The Parks 'Committee, after considering the applications of the Auckland"- Cricket Association' and of the Auckland Suburban Cricket "Association, recommended .that : the former body be given nine match wickets on the Domain and three on Victoria Park, and the suburban body six on the Domain and three on Victoria .Park. It: was pointed out that this allocation would leave four match wickets—one on the Domain and thrco on Victoria Park-, which would be allocated to later applicants. -■'• -'"•' -' ;...•■■
