NEW BRANCHES PROPOSED.
IMPROVED FACILITIES.
The Bank of New Zealand has embarked on . a building policy that will provide improved facilities at several of its branches. ; .
Extensive ■ alterations are being made to the branch at Rotorua, providing much more spacious Jaarjking ; aocommadatfon and an enlargement of the residential quarters attached to the bank. Th«» estimated cost is £3030.
Plans are ready for a new branch at Whangarei, and work on those premises will soon be started. The site of tho proposed building . is on the corner of Bank Street and Rusk Lane. Tho specifications provide for up-to-date materials. The cost will bo about £12,000. The new branch at Otorohanga, jusi completed, presents an imposing appearance, being built entirely of concrete, with sfeel window frames. Special attention has been paid to making the building as fireproof as possible. These premises cost £2800.
Plans are being prepared for new branch premises at V&uuku and Helensville, the former to cost £2300 and th« latter £2000. The' architects for these works are Messrs. Edward Mahoney and Son,
