WHANGAREI. Wednesday.
Loan proposals 'affecting the - ratepayers resident in the area across the Hatea River, which was included in the borough of / Whangarei ; about a year ago, have been considered at a meeting of the rate-' payers affected. It j was decided to approve the Borough Council's proposal to raise £2000 for reading in that district* and to recommend that it bo allocated as follows: — Punpa Road and Gayfield Street, £450: Dundas Road, £350 Swings Roar), £350; Dundonald Road, £100; Pau Road, £50; and Portland Road, £700. .
