EXAMINATION OF SITES. t»T3 TPfc-EGBATH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] . DUNEDIN. Wednesday. The directors of the New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition have not yet rereceived any word from the Government as to a further subsidy, but the preparations are being pushed on as far as they can be. The experts, who are instructed to examine-all the eligible sites and report as to their suitability, with special reference to the cost of building and lay out in each case, are now at work,- and have been asked to have their reports ready for the meeting of directors next week. •■ • '" __ The chairman of directors, Mr. -J. S. Ross, said yesterday that there will bono unnecessary delay. The preliminary arrangements are now in hand, and announcements as to what is being done will be made at the earliest moment- •■ "Some people," he added, "arc asking why we have not sent out our circulars' to exhibitors. The answer is that the Aucklanders sent out those; circulars 16 months ahead of their exhibition, and -ve arc 24 months ahead."
