THE RUGBY GAME. : sub . UNIONS MATCH. The Bub-unions match between the subunions of Franklin, Pukekohe, Manukau, Waiuku and Waikero, and tho Auckland B representative team, will be played at Pukekohe, to-day. The proceeds from the match will go towards a fund for the purpose of forming tho Greater Unions in country football. The game promises to be of special interest and attraction. The team selected to represent the sub-unions is a strong side, the players being drawn from the best of the country representatives. Tho only defect apparent is the probability of lack of combination, as the players will be brought together for tho first time in to-day's contest. The Auckland B team is a good side, the backs being particularly clever, while the forwards should combine as a strong attacking side. The Auckland team will leave from the Post Office by. charabanc at noon to-day for Pukekohe. Mr. T. H. Patersoh accompanies the team as manager. COLLEGE MATCH. PAST v. PRESENT. At the Sacred Heart College Grounds to-day the annual football match, Sacred Heart College Old Boys v. Present Boys, will be played. As the college team is .* fairly strong one this season a good game is expected. All Old Boys and friends of the college are invited to attend. In the evening tho members of tho college teams will bo entertained at one of the picture theatres in the city. • The Old Boys' team will be picked from tho following O'Connor (3), Russell, (2), Walsh (2), Burns, Goldwater, Earlly, Dunbier, Lanigan, Lawson, Pilling, Kalaugher, Foley, Franklin, Edwards, Loft, and Beehan. PEACE CUP MATCH. HAMILTON V. THAMES. Tho Peace Cup match between. Hamilton (holders) and Thames (challengers) will bo played at Hamilton to-day. The contest promises to be a good one, as both teams are well represented. Mr. W. J. Meredith, of Auckland, has been appointed referee. THE LEAGUE GAME. PROVINCE VERSUS CITY. 4 Tho representative match under... the auspices of the Auckland Rugby League, between tho Auckland representative team and a team representing the Auckland province, will be played at Cai'laW Park to-day. The provincial team will bo a specially strong side, as it includes several of the best players of South Auckland, who have given good exhibitions of the league code this season.
