SALVAGE CLAIM SETTLED.

AGREEMENT BETWEEN PARTIES.

The claim for £600 for salvage services alleged, to have been rendered .to the steamer Rona, at the time of her mishap at Flat Rock, in June, 1922, came again before Mr: Justice Herdman in the Supreme Court yesterday, and it was announced that a settlement had been arrived at. • -• '

Further, Captain Wallis had acted upon his own initiative and judgment, and had not sought help from, plaintiff. . The sum of £31 JOs had been paid into Court, and defendants submitted that this was sufficient remuneration for plaintiff's services. His Honor ordered the case to be struck out.
