UNFAVOURABLE REPORT.
CONDUCT OF AN HOTEL.
■-■'■. The Mariukau Licensintr 'Committee met yesterday,' Mr. W. R. McKean,' S.M., presided. There were also present: Messrs. J. Rowe, W. Gavin, E. V. Sutherland, W. J. Wallace. The police reported that the hotels had been well conducted during the past : quarter, with 'the exception of the Hibernian Hotel, Onehunga •^ Mr. . Hall Skelton, representing the licensee of the Hibernian Hotel, Frederick Charles Bass, took exception to certain statements in tho report, but the chairman and Mr. Rowe stated that no «m----plaints had been made that Sergeant Craickshanks was unfair in his methods. The committee decided to take no action until this annual meeting, when the question of a . renewal ; to the present licensee mil be considered.
